Beautiful art! It was an amazing sunny day when I went there....I couldn't go inside because there was a wedding that day and they were using the space. But on the right side, there was a trail with amazing views. The walk to the bridge was pleasant. Highly recommend if you're in the area and looking for scenic views by the water. They have portable latrines if you have to use the bathroom as well. No dogs are allowed. Plenty of parking were available on the street.
Loved this! The area was beautiful. The church was amazing! The spot was perfect. Beautiful nature views. You can go inside the church as well. The ground was just dirt and the ceilings were high with beautiful beams. Birds were flying through and perching near by. If you like historic sites, beautiful architecture and nature, you would love this place.
Scenic spot you’ll see a lot of in foliage season. The church has a small pullover at the side of the road with a small grounds and access to the church. Inside the church is mostly empty. There are a few hiking trails to be found behind the church up against the water.
The lake here is a reservoir/drinking water so there’s no swimming, and they don’t want you walking on the ice cone winter- sometimes there’s a ranger hanging at the gate or up around the corner.
On the front of the church is a huge US Flag, and it makes for one of the more photographed locations come fall. For your best pic you’ll want to go up the road a bit to the bridge and have a decent zoom lens.
Beautiful place to come a see the sunset or to take a walk. There a few trails you can do. If you’re passing through Boyalston, Massachusetts, make a quick stop at the Old Stone Church. The church is basically gutted but the structure and the property are pretty amazing. There’s some interesting history connected to the Church. My gamy and I live coming here
I went to this place a few years ago and I constantly think about going back. It's a photographer paradise because if you go during the week there is no one there! And a tip to those from the west coast this place is not well marked you just pull of into a tiny little driveway and walk through an opening in the fence not anything marked as private property but it kind of feels like it. Super clean, which is refreshing. A great place for some fun photos and a picnic. Highly recommend
my favorite spot to go and watch the sunset on the little tiny "beach" here. the old church is a cool spot to take pictures for graduations, weddings ect. parking is along the street and its a short walk down a path. no dogs allowed. bring a book and a picnic and enjoy nature.
A true shell of its former self…interesting history. My time there, a wedding party was in the middle of a photo shoot so I didn’t want to be in their way or get them in my pics. Beautiful water views…
Amazing place to just stop and catch your breath.
